This book is a documentary novel. It takes the magnificent scenes of the Beijing student movement as its warp and the high-level power struggle of the CCP as its latitude, showing the readers the causes, consequences and ins and outs of the bloody massacre. The more than 140 characters in the book are all real people, except for four pro-democracy students whose names were changed to pseudonyms.
