TVB 新聞部每年製作的《香港大事回顧》系列，紀錄了多年來香港民生的轉變、基建的開展、災難的回憶，以至從英中會談到主權移交十年的整個過程。《香港大事回顧全紀錄 1967-2006》一系列DVD，共40年的故事、超過20小時的歷史，包括由1980年至2006年的《香港大事回顧》節目，當中除極小部分片段因版權問題須刪去或重新剪輯，其餘皆屬當年原裝播出版本。至於1967年至1979年的經典新聞版段，乃於2007年重新選輯。這是香港四十年來的影像編年史，香港人的集體回憶。
