An artwork collection of the Hong Kong 2019 Anti-ELAB movement

Since mid-2019, countless protest artwork and Lennon Wall graffiti has informed and inspired the movement and helped expand awareness and redefined the concept of civil disobedience. Throughout the protests, Hongkongers have expressed endless creativity. Their ways of expression have evolved from the early days of writing on a small post-it note and on reams of A4 paper. They have taken their expressions of anger, disgust, frustration, love and unity to social media platforms. in newspaper advertisements, on easy to read posters with lotus background to reach the hearts and minds of the elderly, shared messages and photos via subway Airdrops, organized public displays of large-scale protest art in the community and across the city, kept watch and conveyed any witnessed indiscretion, telegraphed protest calendars, coordinated signature petition campaigns and have created a new form of expression, protest art. They too have ventured outside of Hong Kong and waged their defence and offence internationally.
