為何我們不收取借書費？你們的書籍來源是哪裡？
因為我們以非弁利方式運營此平台，所以我們不收取任何借書費。港書館上列出的所有書籍均是由志願者分享。我們希望所有的讀者都能分享一些自己的書籍，以擴大藏書量，讓這個平台最終發展成為一個有豐富藏書的真正圖書館，讓每一位在英國的香港人或任何對香港相關書籍感興趣的人都可以找到他們需要的書籍。
Why is there no borrowing charge? Where do your books come from?
There is no borrowing charge because we operate the platform on a non-profit making basis. All books listed on the website are shared by our supporters. We hope all our fellow readers will share some of their own books to expand the book collection so that this platform will eventually evolve into a true library with comprehensive book collection where every member of the Hongkonger community in the UK or anyone with interest in Hong Kong-related books will have access to books they need.
為何借書者要承擔運費？
我們以非弁利的方式運營本平台，不收取任何借書費，也沒有任何外部資助。為使我們的服務範圍覆蓋到英國全國，我們靠英國郵政服務來將書籍寄到全國讀者。因此，我們所有借書的讀者根據用者自付原則需支付一次的郵費。我們負責將書寄給閣下，借書者需要在還書時自付郵費，將書籍郵寄給下一位借書者。以下為英國郵局二等標準郵遞費用，郵費以英國郵局公佈為準。

Why borrowers have to bear the delivery charge?
We operate the platform on a non-profit making basis, we do not charge any book borrowing charge and we do not receive any external funding. To extend our coverage to the whole country, we depend on the UK postal service to send the books to reach all readers in the country. Therefore all borrowers have to bear one-time postage. Ｗe send the book to you when you borrow a book, and we ask all borrowers to kindly pay for their own delivery charge when returning the book by posting the book to the next borrower. The following table shows the rate charged by UK post office for second class standard post in the UK, subject to changes announced by the UK post office.

What is your source of funding?
We are a group of Hongkongers in the UK, established and operate the platform on a non-profit making basis. We established the platform purely with our own resources and we did not receive any external funding.
為什麼借書者需在借閱期滿後暫時保管借出的書？
我們以非弁利的方式運營本平台，沒有收到任何外部資助，因此我們努力將運作成本維持於最低水平。我們沒有實體圖書館或儲藏設施來保存藏書，所以我們依賴所有的借書者暫時為我們保管借出的書籍，直到他們被下一個借書者借閱。

Why borrowers have to keep the borrowed book temporarily after expiry of the borrowing period?
We operate the platform on a non-profit making basis and received no external funding. Therefore we strive to keep the running cost at minimum. We do not have a physical library or storage for keeping the book collection, so we rely on all our borrowers to keep the book for us temporarily until they are borrowed by the next borrower.
If you have any special reason (e.g. you are moving home or you are not in the country for a long time) and would like to send the book back to us, please contact us.
如遺失或損毀書籍，怎麼辦?
讀者通過本平台借閱書籍，需妥善保管書籍，不可書寫、劃花或損壞書籍。如借閱者遺失或損毀書籍，需賠償更換圖書的費用(即是購買替換書籍的費用以及將該書籍運送到本平台指定的英國任何地址的所有本地和國際運輸費用) 。
What will happen if I lose or damage a book?
Readers who borrow book(s) from out platform should take due care of the book(s), and should not annotate, mark or damage the book(s). If any borrower loses or damages any book, he/she will be required to pay for full replacement cost of the book (i.e. the cost of buying a replacement book and all the local and international transportation cost of bringing that book to any address in the United Kingdom designated by us).
為何登記成為會員需要提供個人資料？
為確保書籍可順利寄到會員手中，以及當會員需要協助或遺失書籍時我們可以聯絡會員，我們需要會員的個人資料。請參考我們的私隱政策。
Why do I need to provide personal information to register as a member?
In order to ensure that books can be delivered to members smoothly, and that we can contact members when members need assistance or lose books, we need members' personal information. Please refer to our privacy notice.
